The Museum of Modern Art has launched a new virtual discussion series, Material Worlds, gathering “experts and scholars who transcend the typical boundaries of expertise to posit new viewpoints on the equitable and resilient sourcing of building materials, not only to envision the future, but also to better understand the past and present of humanity’s impact on the nonhuman world.” Principal Chandra Robinson was invited to be a panelist on December 14th for their exciting inaugural episode, Material Worlds: Mass Timber, joining fellow experts and researchers from across the industry including Anyeley Hallová of Adre; FSC President François Dufresne; and Dr. Peggi Clouston, a structural engineer and researcher with the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Thank you to Carson Chan and the Emilio Ambasz Institute for hosting this series, and to the evening’s moderator, Lindsey Wikstrom, of Mattaforma and the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation.
