The Achievement in Community Engagement (ACE) Awards, overseen by the commission-appointed Citizen Involvement Advisory Committee (CIAC), annually evaluates projects showcasing outstanding community engagement efforts. Recognized projects are presented to the Oregon Land Conservation and Development Commission (LCDC) to celebrate and promote exemplary community involvement.

LEVER was awarded an honorable mention in the category of Most Outstanding Project for Multnomah County Library: Albina and North Portland Libraries. Collaborating with over 30 community organizations representing diverse demographics, LEVER led a community-based design initiative for the renovation of these two library branches. The aim was to create inclusive spaces tailored to the community's needs, fostering cultural recognition, flexible gathering areas, and a connection with nature. The project prioritized early community and youth engagement—broadening the project's community reach by increasing access to information, honoring the site history, and centering the voices of diverse community members who are at the heart of the Albina and North Portland neighborhoods. Weekly engagement meetings kept Multnomah County Library informed and facilitated ongoing collaboration.

Furthermore, the project team participated in a 'Critical Race Spatial Praxis in Design' workshop with Dr. Amara Pérez, and collaborated with community engagement experts, fostering trust and strengthening community ties. Creative outreach methods were employed, and participant feedback was integrated into design principles, ensuring community priorities guided decision-making.

CIAC members commended the project for its placemaking elements and community-driven design approach, recognizing its potential to enhance community cohesion and inclusivity.
